Daniele and Riccardo Cazzaniga in the CIGT Endurance

For the first round of the CIGT Endurance season, Daniele and Riccardo Cazzaniga will be on track this weekend at Vallelunga: the first with Porsche, the second with Lamborghini.

Campagnano di Roma (ITA). They will not be racing in the same car, but they will both take part to the first round of the Italian GT Endurance Championship, which experiences its season opener this weekend at Vallelunga: Daniele and Riccardo Cazzaniga will be protagonists in two different categories, but will take part in the same race. This has not happened since the 2019 Italian GT Endurance Championship when the two brothers raced in the same car. Daniele Cazzaniga, Porsche driver and instructor of Porsche Italia, will race in the GT Cup class with a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup lined up by the Ebimotors team, a real point of reference in Italy for the Stuttgart manufacturer’s motorsport. Daniele will share the wheel with Davide Di Benedetto and Giuseppe Nicolosi, with them he won the Porsche GT Cup title in 2022. The aim is to do the encore in a category that will see numerous top level crews at the start and which sees the return to the 3-hour race format. After having taken part in the first two rounds of the Sprint series, Riccardo Cazzaniga will be at the start in the GT3 class with a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo 2 fielded by Vincenzo Sospiri Racing, which he will share with Alberto Di Folco and Edoardo Liberati. The crew appears to be very well balanced and talented, while the team from Forlì has a successful history with the cars of the Sant’Agata Bolognese manufacturer: there are, therefore, all the prerequisites for aiming high.

Daniele Cazzaniga: “Finally the season starts for me too: I am happy to share the car with Di Benedetto and Nicolosi in a team with a very high national and international profile such as Ebimotors. We know that the competition is numerous and of an excellent level, but we aim to win the Porsche GT Cup title as we did in 2022”.

Riccardo Cazzaniga: “I am very motivated for the first Endurance race: the crew is very competitive, the team needs no introduction. We aim high, hoping that the bad luck that plagued us in the first two stages of the Sprint series will look the other way this time”.
